Through teaching, activity projects and workshops, the TAVSgroup has experienced, that among staff and relatives, there is a need for knowledge and inspiration about how to create the framework for meaningful communication with people who have complex communication needs.
The book “From Experience to Communication” is part of this work ..
The book describes approaches to alternative communication and gives suggestions for opportunities to work with projects, where the target audience get experiences, which sets the stage for meaningful communication and options to choose for themselves.
The content of the book is:
- A theoretical frame and understanding which is fundamental for our work with alternative and augmentative communication.
- Considerations concerning accessibility and frequently used activities.
- Description of four different activity projects.
